Honoring Black History Month!

Honoring Black History Month!

Cealle Creative honors the many Hero’s and Shero’s who have helped to pave the way!

This week we pay homage to American Fashion Designer, Ann Lowe.

Lowe was the first African American woman to become recognized globally as a fashion designer. Lowes most notable contribution and what she’s most remembered by is for the designing of the 1953 Bridal Gown and Cocktail dresses for Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy; President Robert Kennedy's wife and and bridal party.

During the 50’s there were still barriers that needed to be broken. Lowe during that time never received her deserved credit. Today we give her, her flowers.

Today Ann Lowe's designs can be found at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
