The Power of Perseverance!

Last month, I had the chance to witness greatness—not once, but twice.
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Act II Tour rolled through town, and somehow, I found myself in her presence twice in one week.
By the end of the first concert—despite inclement weather and poor visibility (by the way, I had floor seats… but we won’t talk about that)—I was in complete awe. The second time around, compliments of MetLife, I was floored. The perfect weather and incredible view helped set the stage for what was not only a flawless concert performance, but a full-blown, theatrical experience. To witness someone in their greatness is a gift.
She’s human. I know she must get tired. Exhausted, even. There are moments—whether we see them or not—when she must feel dismantled or unsure. Yet she continues to show up. Like the morning of Thursday, May 29th, when I woke and found out she had performed the night before in the pouring rain—without missing a beat—I was inspired. She didn’t stop. Wow, she stood in the storm and delivered!
That, to me, is The Power Of Perseverance.
Everyone can reach that level of mastery—but the reality is, not everyone is willing to do the digging it takes. Not everyone has the fortitude or the faith to follow through when the feelings fade, when the crowd isn’t cheering, when no one’s watching. It’s easy to be inspired in the spotlight. But can you stay consistent in the shadows?
When I returned to my office the following week, a colleague said something simple but impactful: “Keep going.”
Those two words hit differently. In that moment, they weren’t just casual encouragement—they were a quiet command:
Press on in spite of.
- Press on even when your heart isn’t in it.
- Press on when the outcome is unclear.
- Press on because something greater is on the other side of your endurance.
Perseverance doesn’t always look like fireworks. Sometimes, it’s just putting one foot in front of the other. Sometimes, it’s simply showing up. But most times, I find it’s showing up when no one else expects you to—especially when you’re not even sure you can.
Beyoncé may have reminded me of the heights you can reach with that level of mastery—but it was that colleague I ran into leaving the ladies room that reminded how you get there: You simply Keep Going!
Maintain your perseverance...
With Love,
Cealle
