Brooklyn Vibes, Silk Ties & Street Corn Highs…

Cealle Creative popped up this past Saturday at the Atlantic Antic Brooklyn 50th Anniversary Festival — our first fall event of the season! The streets were alive with music, laughter, and the smell of the world’s best street corn.
Big love to my dear friend Tanya Brown of Brooklyn, NY — you’re a real one! From setup to breakdown, we laughed, hustled, and shared pure joy all day long.
Not only do we share the same name, but the same love for laughter — the kind that carries you through a long festival day and keeps your spirit light no matter what.
Festival Favorites
Our admired piece of the day? “Market.”
A stunning silk scarf that’s just as gorgeous framed in your kitchen as it is styled around your neck. It’s the definition of wearable art — and clearly a crowd favorite!
Unexpected Encounters
And then came the surprise of the day…
My last customer — a gentleman with a long black beard, wearing a metal band style tee — strolled up casually. If I let my imagination run a little wild, he could’ve easily been a drummer in a rock band.
He says, “I’ll take two of those.”
I point toward where his eyes landed and reply, “Essence?”
Then he asks, “Do you have a story about her?”
So I share the story behind the design. He listens, nods slowly, and says, “That’s all I needed to hear.”
Then he hugs me and adds softly, “She reminds me of my ex.”
Full transparency — I was honestly taken aback. I never would’ve pegged “Essence” as a style that spoke to my new “drummer friend,” at least not in my head. But it was one of those beautiful reminders of how art and story connect us, even when we least expect it.
My heart still smiles each time I think of that exchange. The moment truly aligned with our vision for the brand:
Cealle Creative — To create original designs and short stories that inspire people to view the world beautifully.
The Aftermath
Typically, after an event, I come home and reorganize my bags and inventory in preparation for the next one. Welp! I woke up the next morning to realize I’d left everything by the front door — totally not like me! I think I might’ve been festival drunk on fun (and street corn).
Which, by the way, was incredibly delicious! That was the best corn on the cob I’ve ever tasted. Granted, it was my first time having festival street corn, but let’s just say the bar has been set very high from here on out.
All in all, I had an amazing day. I didn’t quite hit my sales goal, but I came home with more coins than I left with, so I’ll take that as a win!
Until Next Time
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth. Your support keeps us doing what we love — creating beautiful things for beautiful people.
With love,
Cealle
